Symptoms of Sick Cats

All pets including cats can get sick. If you own a cat, you should make a point of learning about the symptoms of sick cats so that you know when your cat is not feeling well. One of the symptoms that a cat might be sick is persistent coughing. It is completely normal for your cat to give one or two coughs at any one time. However, if the coughing persists, this might imply that there is something wrong and you need to have the cat checked.
Cats also suffer from diabetes, just like humans. Some of the symptoms of diabetes include drinking too much water and passing urine all the time. Another common sign of illness in cats is loss of appetite which might be accompanied by fever and lack of activity. These may be symptoms of many illnesses, but the most common is Feline Immunodeficiency Virus which attacks the immune system of the cat.
