The travel with any of the family pets should be planned a bit long before the travel date. Make sure that the pet you are traveling has undergone a check up treatment before travel. In addition to it, for a safe travel consider these points:

a. An information card mentioning owner’s name and contact details and a rabies tag should be worn by the pet.
b. The carrier for travel should be spacious enough for free movement of the pet and doesn’t have any objects that could harm it.
c. Travel with fresh food, water, eating and drinking bowls and your pet’s first aid kit and ensure the safety first.
d. If traveling by car, never let your pet unsupervised inside and don’t allow his head outside the window. Stop at intervals for bathroom, food, water etc.
e. Last point to consider is about air travel. You should be aware of the airline’s rules for carrying a pet. If possible, try to look for a continuous flight for them.

Human beings and dogs have been best companions for over the years now. Some dog care basic tips that need to be followed are:

a. Mention all the necessary details like your contact name, number and address in an ID and attach it to a collar your dog.
b. Bathe your dogs on a monthly basis and clean or wipe them with a towel when they get dirty.

a. Drastic temperature drop: Normal temperature of a dog’s body is 101 Fahrenheit or 38 Celsius. If it drops below 97 Fahrenheit or 36 Celsius it means your dog is about to give birth within 24 hours. If there are no signs of labor, even for next day, then contact your veterinarian.
b. Rejection of food: Pregnant female dogs refuse eating before they enter labor period.
c. Looking for a den: A female pregnant dog searches for a safe and comfortable place to give birth to puppies.
d. Vomiting and signs of sickness: Another natural symptom in which she will begin to vomit before a few days of going into labor. Keep fresh water for her always.
e. Being close to you all the time: She will follow you and try to get close to you once labor period is about to star for her.

It is very important to understand when your dog is going into labor if you want to help her have a smooth delivery.The first sign of her going into labor is a drop in her body temperature. Usually the temperature of a dog’s body is around 100 to 102 degree Fahrenheit. So look out for a significant drop in her body temperature.

The natural instinct of a dog is to look for a noiseless and place where they can peacefully deliver her pups. So if you notice your dog sneaking away below your bed then you should understand she is very close to her labor time. Dogs usually want their masters to be with them while they are in labor.
