Cloudy eyes in cats are often caused by an increase in opacity in the eye and is associated with diminish in the transparency of the cornea or alternatively draining of the fluid in the eye and is often tied to blurred eyesight. Some of the symptoms to look out for include; a discharge in both or one eye, occasional or frequent squinting, redness in both or one eye and in addition to this, you might also note a physical change in both eyes.

Some of the most common factors known to contribute to cloudy cat eyes include; corneal infections, inflammatory diseases associated with the cornea, fat accumulation in the cornea or an excessive occurrence of white blood cells, fatty lipids, blood or protein among others.Once you note any of the mentioned symptoms, then it is advisable to seek the help of a veterinary ophthalmologist since the issue cannot be handled through average home care.
