Though most people think that all there is to feeding rabbits is providing pellets, the truth is that feeding your rabbit on vegetables could be the determine factor on whether it gives a longer life or not. On a day to day basis, this should amount to two to four cups of varying vegetables. In addition to this, you should not pick any vegetables as they should be fresh, organic and properly washed.

Since most vegetables tend to be spayed with pesticides, you should also make certain to confirm that when you are feeding your rabbit, there is no residue on the surface as this could pose serious health complications.

Some of the vegetables considered ideal for inclusion in your rabbits diet include; Bok Choy, Basil, Beet Greens, Alfafa, Radish, and Clover Sprouts, Mustard Greens and fresh grass among others. By understanding and varying the vegetables, you should be able to give your rabbit a balanced diet.
